Waimarino Environmental Education Coordinator - Project TONgariro

Here at Project Tongariro, we are on the hunt for an Education Coordinator (Southern Ruapehu District).

We are looking for someone to work with schools, early childhood centres, and the community on restoration projects and other hands-on environmental education initiatives.

This would ideally suit a teacher or someone with education experience.  This position will be up to 30 hours a week and fixed term (February 2024- Dec 2025).

To be considered for this position you will need to reside in the Southern Ruapehu Region (Ohakune & Surrounds) as there is a large area to cover in this region. You will also have your own reliable transport (a travel allowance is included).  

Applicants must be entitled to work in New Zealand, or have a New Zealand residence visa /a New Zealand work visa that covers the duration of this role.

Kids Greening Taupō team as a Kairuruku Reo Māori

We're looking for someone to join the Kids Greening Taupō team as a Kairuruku Reo Māori for 2024, starting in February 2024. This role involves working with kura kaupapa and kōhanga reo in Taupō and Tūrangi, along with resource development and running events.

They are looking for someone with passion, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of conservation work and our unique native flora and fauna can be learnt on the job.

The role is fixed term and part time (up to 30 hours per week) with flexible hours to work around your family or studies.
